This June, 18 River Center fans are coming together as the “River Center Ramblers” to demonstrate the joy of being outdoors while raising funds for the Dungeness River Nature Center and Railroad Bridge Park.

Our challenge is simple: walk one mile every day during the month of June, wherever you choose. 

Walking combines healthy exercise with the experience of observing nature: rivers, forests, mountains, birds, and seasonal changes that make the Olympic Peninsula a special place to live. 

Ways to Support the River Center Ramblers

• Join the River Center Ramblers and walk in June while rallying support from friends and family. Interested participants should contact Lyn Muench at lynmuench@olypen.com or text 360-477-1972.

The Dungeness River Nature Center provides river and forest access, nature-based programs and events throughout the year, as well as exhibits and meeting spaces that serve the community and beyond. Our mission is to inspire understanding, respect, and stewardship of our natural and cultural resources.

For years, Spring Strollers raised funds for the River Center each May. This year, we decided June is also a great month to be outside in nature.

Let’s see if we can top last year and make this our biggest year yet. Our goal is to raise $5,000 in support of River Center programs and Railroad Bridge Park.
