Spring Strollers: Did you know that it’s one mile from the Dungeness River Nature Center parking lot to the Runnion Road Parking lot and back again on the Olympic Discovery Trail?
Walking combines healthy exercise with the joy of being outdoors in the spring, observing the river, trees, mountains, and birds that make the River Center such a special place.
This year Team Leader Lyn Muench is proposing to walk one mile every day in May. Lyn would love to have you join her team. You can find sponsors for your own walking goal, or sponsor Lyn and her team with a donation on this page.
All donations support River Center nature education.
Every Friday from May 2nd through May 23rd, Lyn will host a round-trip group walk from the River Center.
We can choose the distance but plan on one mile and no more than one hour.
Meet Friday at 10 a.m. at the outdoor window of “Hurricane Coffee at the River.”
